Oconee County Sheriff’s Office Arrests Westminster Man on Charges of Exploitation of a Vulnerable Adult

(Walhalla, SC)————————————–The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Westminster man last Friday morning on an outstanding warrant on charges of Exploitation of a Vulnerable Adult.

38 year old Randall Lamar Cash, Jr. of Kingston Loop Drive was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center around 10:52am after being transported from the Jackson County, GA Detention Center to the Detention Center in Oconee by a deputy from the Warrants Division.

A deputy from the Uniform Patrol Division began an investigation on August 11th of last year after receiving a complaint from an employee of the Department of Social Services regarding a client. The deputy learned that Cash, Jr. had come to the client’s residence and switched air conditioners without the homeowner’s permission.

Based upon the results of the investigation, the deputy obtained an arrest warrant the next day against Cash, Jr. According to the warrant, Cash, Jr. is charged with taking the victim’s air conditioner and replaced that unit with a unit that Cash, Jr. had that was not functioning properly which left the victim in a home that was overheated.

As of 10am today, Cash, Jr. remains in custody at the Detention Center on a $10,000 surety bond.
