Oconee County Sheriff’s Office Arrests Seneca Man on Multiple Charges

Wade Allan Dickinson

(Walhalla, SC)--------------------------------------An investigation by the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office into two separate incidents has led to the arrest of a Seneca man on multiple charges.

66 year old Wade Allan Dickinson was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center around 12:57pm Tuesday. A deputy from the Warrants Bureau transferred Dickinson from the Pendleton Police Department to the Oconee County Detention Center after Dickinson had been detained yesterday, in Pendleton, while in possession of a stolen vehicle.

In all, Dickinson has been charged with one count each of Use of a Vehicle without Permission, First Degree Burglary, Petit Larceny, Grand Larceny and Malicious Injury to Property.

At this time, Dickinson remains in jail on a combined $137,125.00 surety bond.

The charge of Use of a Vehicle without Permission was the result of an investigation in which Dickinson took and drove a 2003 Honda Pilot, on May 31st of this year, without the permission of the owner. The vehicle was returned to the owner on June 2nd; however, the owner continued her cooperation with the case.

The charges of First Degree Burglary, Petit Larceny, Grand Larceny and Malicious Injury to Property against Dickinson involve the same victim and at the same address as the previous incident. According to arrest warrants, Dickinson broke into the victim’s residence at night, sometime between June 25th and June 26th of this year, while damaging a storm door in order to gain entry. Dickinson also is accused of taking $120.00 in cash from the residence as well as a set of car keys which allowed him to steal the same 2003 Honda, which was the vehicle from the previous incident.

The 2003 Honda was recovered yesterday at a business in Pendleton, with Dickinson inside of the vehicle, according to information supplied to deputies.
