(Walhalla, SC)-------------------------------------In recognition of April as “Child Abuse Prevention Month,” the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is holding a donations drive for Fostering Faithfully.

The donations drive is being conducted by the two Victim Advocates from the Sheriff’s Office, Deputy Katrina Carter and Deputy Sonia Royal.  Deputy Carter and Deputy Royal have set up a display table in the main lobby of the first floor of the Sheriff’s Office, which is located at 300 S. Church Street, in Walhalla.

According to a flyer produced by the Victim Advocates from the Sheriff’s Office, Fostering Faithfully is a faith-based, non-profit organization that encourages and equips foster families and the children they love.

The requested donations are based upon the items that Fostering Faithfully is most requesting and in need of.  Those items are:

· Hygiene items: shampoo, conditioners, body wash, kids toothpaste and feminine products

· Diapers: sizes 3-6

· Pull-ups: sizes 3-4 or overnight diapers for larger kids

· 5/6 boys socks – medium and large

· Summer PJ’s: sizes 5-10 in both boys and girls

Under the table in the main lobby are boxes where donations can be placed.  Also, Deputy Carter and Deputy Royal have placed brochures and other resources and information on top of the donation table.

Donations are being accepted at the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office, weekdays from 8:30am until 5pm, from Monday, April 1st thru Monday, April 29th.
