OCSO Arrests Seneca Man on Trafficking in Methamphetamine and Weapons Charges

(Walhalla, SC)--------------------------------------Deputies from the Uniform Patrol Division, on routine patrol late Tuesday evening on the Utica Mill Hill, arrested a Seneca man on multiple charges, including a charge of Trafficking in Methamphetamine.


49 year old Eddie J McJunkins, who has listed addresses of S. Depot Street and Goddard Avenue, was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center around 4:49am this morning. McJunkins was also charged with Unlawful Carrying of a Pistol and Possession of a Weapon during Commission of a Violent Crime.


Deputies observed McJunkins walking on Gammell Street near Jameson Avenue around 11:51pm, appearing to hold something in his waistband. After calling out to McJunkins, McJunkins ran on foot from the deputies between Gammell Street and Sirrine Street.


After ignoring multiple commands to stop, McJunkins was eventually taken into custody on the property of an address on Sirrine Street. As McJunkins was being placed into custody, deputies observed a firearm on McJunkins person. Deputies also discovered a bag that contained a quantity of Methamphetamine.


McJunkins was placed under arrest and transported to the Oconee County Detention Center.


At this time, McJunkins remains in custody at the Detention Center pending a bond hearing.
