Second Community Forum Scheduled for This Thursday

(Walhalla, SC)-------------------------------------The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is holding our Second “Community Forum” this Thursday, March 7th.   The Forum will take place in the Auditorium at the World of Energy at the Oconee Nuclear Station, which is located on Rochester Highway.

The Second Forum, which will begin at 6:30pm, will focus on Scams and Frauds.  Financial Crime Investigators from the Criminal Investigations Bureau will provide tips on how citizens can protect their Personal Identifying Information and avoid financial loss.  Doors to the World of Energy will open at 6pm this Thursday.  The Forum is free and open to the public.

Back on August 15th of last year, the Sheriff’s Office held their First “Community Forum” which focused on Active Attacks.  The School District of Oconee County also presented their Reunification Plan information at the first Forum.

After the presentation, there will be a time for a question and answer segment.  The entire presentation should last anywhere from 60 to 90 minutes.

“We are grateful to our partners with Duke Energy for hosting our Second “Community Forum” and for making the auditorium at the World of Energy available in order to provide this important information to our citizens” says Oconee County Sheriff Mike Crenshaw.
