Oconee County Sheriff’s Office Arrests Seneca Man on Multiple Sex Crime Charges

(Walhalla, SC)--------------------------------------The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Seneca man earlier today on multiple charges, including multiple sexual assault counts, which involved five separate adult victims.


27 year old Trey Jerell Frasier of Greenleaf Court was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center around 9:03am. Overall, Frasier has been charged with five counts of Criminal Sexual Conduct – First Degree and one count each of Kidnapping, First Degree Burglary and Possession of a Weapon during Commission of a Violent Crime.


Four of the Criminal Sexual Conduct counts and the Kidnapping charge stem from an initial investigation into a sexual assault that was reported to the Sheriff’s Office on April 25th of this year. A deputy from the Uniform Patrol Division met with a victim of a sexual assault that occurred in April of this year. The case was turned over to the Criminal Investigations Division.


Frasier was charged with one count of Criminal Sexual Assault – 1st Degree in regards to the assault that occurred in April of this year. As the investigation continued and evidence was gathered, investigators discovered additional victims who had been sexually assaulted by Frasier. According to arrest warrants, one victim was sexually assaulted in November of 2018 in an incident in which Frasier was also charged with Kidnapping. Two separate victims reported to investigators that Frasier sexually assaulted them, with one victim reporting a sexual assault that occurred in August of 2020 and the other victim reported a sexual assault which occurred sometime between the later summer and fall of 2013.


In regards to the charges of First Degree Burglary, Possession of a Weapon during Commission of a Violent Crime and the final Criminal Sexual Conduct charge, those charges related to a separate report filed with the Sheriff’s Office on May 6th of this year. In that investigation, also turned over to the Criminal Investigations Division, arrest warrants state that Frasier sexually assaulted the victim while possessing a firearm in February of 2020. Frasier also broke into the victim’s residence at night, without consent and with the intent to commit a crime, while armed with a deadly weapon.


At this time, Frasier remains in custody at the Oconee County Detention Center pending a bond hearing.


Frasier was arrested on March 11th of this year on a charge of Assault and Battery – 3rd Degree related to a separate investigation into an incident that occurred on January 2nd of this year. Frasier was released on his own recognizance on March 12th. Frasier has been sentenced to 30 days on that charge.


The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigation and in order to preserve the integrity of its investigation, and that of the victims, the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office will not be releasing any further information at this time, which includes any and all information that in any way could potentially identify a victim.
