(Walhalla, SC)--------------------------------------Investigators from the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office are conducting a death investigation this afternoon after a body was discovered inside of a residence near Townville.
The E-911/Communications Center received a call around 1:20pm from a family member of a resident who resides at an address on Hemlock Drive, which is in the Timberlake One Subdivision. The family member discovered a partially decomposed body inside a room of the residence.
Deputies from the Uniform Patrol Division, investigators and the Crime Scene Unit from the Criminal Investigations Division, personnel from Oconee County Emergency Services and the Oconee County Coroner’s Office responded to the scene to collect evidence and begin an investigation.
The investigation is in its early stages by the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office and no further information will be released at this time.
