Anderson County Man Arrested in November 2021 Stolen Transmission Investigation

(Walhalla, SC)--------------------------------------An Anderson County man has been arrested in connection to an investigation of a transmission that was stolen from the back of a pick-up truck last month near Seneca.


28 year old Richard Dean Garrison of Rolling Drive was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center around 12:05pm yesterday on a charge of Grand Larceny. Garrison remains in custody this morning on a $3,000.00 surety bond.


Back on November 18th, the Sheriff’s Office issued a news release seeking the public’s help in regards to the theft of the transmission, which occurred late in the morning on November 16th, from an address on Market Street near Highway 123. The transmission was valued at around $4,000, according to the victim.


The Sheriff’s Office also released pictures of an individual that Investigators were attempting to identify in relation to the theft. Based upon evidence that was gathered during the investigation, an Investigator identified Garrison and obtained an arrest warrant charging Garrison in the crime based upon probable cause.
