(Walhalla, SC)---------------------------------The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is announcing today an additional arrest in the second drug round-up of 2023.
The Sheriff’s Office began the operation with a meeting and briefing at 8:30am last Thursday morning at the Law Enforcement Center in Walhalla.
The Sheriff’s Office obtained arrest warrants on 26 subjects. The arrest warrants were obtained based on controlled purchases of narcotics by undercover operatives working at the direction of the Sheriff’s Office. Among the narcotics purchased during the controlled buys were Cocaine, Crack Cocaine, Fentanyl, Heroin, Methamphetamine, and Prescription Medication.
As of 2pm today, 13 subjects had been arrested so far and/or were already in jail and will or have been served their warrants. Here is the name of the latest subject arrested:
· Rebecca Lynne Lance
37 years old
Westminster, SC
Distribution of Fentanyl – 1 count
Lance was arrested on October 5th and booked into the Oconee County Detention Center around 3:09pm. Lance was also served with an outstanding Magistrates Bench Warrant. At this time, Lance remains in jail. Lance was given a $25,000 surety bond on the Distribution of Fentanyl charge.
