Oconee County Sheriff’s Office Arrest Seneca Man in Child Sexual Abuse Material Investigation

(Walhalla, SC)-----------------------------------A Seneca man remains in jail after his arrest today by the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office on charges of having Child Sexual Abuse Material in his possession.
25 year old Dalton Edward Eller was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center at around 1:05pm this afternoon by a Deputy assigned to the Warrants Unit. In all, Eller has been charged with 25 counts of Sexual Exploitation of a Minor – Third Degree.
Agents assigned to the Special Operations Bureau, as part of the Internet Crimes against Children Task Force, began an investigation in 2025 after receiving numerous cyber tips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children regarding Child Sexual Abuse Material. Based upon the cyber tips received, Agents began work to gather evidence in order to identify potential person(s) of interest who may have been in possession of the material.
Based upon evidence obtained during the investigation, Agents executed a search warrant on August 25th of this year at Eller’s home on Gammell Street, which is located on the Utica Mill Hill near Seneca. Additional evidence was gathered at the scene through the use of the search warrant.
After consultations with a Judge, and based upon probable cause that was established, Agents obtained the arrest warrants against Eller. According to the arrest warrants, Eller possessed Child Sexual Abuse Material, both in videos and pictures on an electronic device, of minor’s engaged in a state of sexual activity.
The minor’s depicted in the pictures and videos seized are under the age of 5 years old, according to the arrest warrants.
The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigation and potential additional charges could be forthcoming in the case.
