Oconee County Sheriff’s Office Arrests Anderson County Man in Criminal Sexual Conduct with a Minor Investigation

(Walhalla, SC)-------------------------------------An Anderson County man remains in jail today after his arrest overnight on charges related to a Criminal Sexual Conduct with a Minor investigation involving two children.   

 

19 year old Brady Austin Baltzegar was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center at around 12:53am this morning on three counts of Criminal Sexual Conduct with a Minor – First Degree.

 

During an initial appearance before a Judge, Baltzegar was denied bond on all three charges.  Baltzegar will appear before a Circuit Court Judge, at a later time, regarding his bond. 

 

The Sheriff’s Office began an investigation on February 13th of this year after a Deputy from the Uniform Patrol received information of allegations of inappropriate sexual conduct involving Baltzegar and the two children at an address near Westminster in 2025. 

 

The investigation was turned over to a Violent Crimes Investigation assigned to the Criminal Investigations Bureau.  Based upon evidence obtained during the investigation, and after presenting that evidence to a Judge, probable cause was established to charge Baltzegar with a committing a sexual battery against both victims in April of 2025.

 

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigation.  In order to preserve the integrity of the investigation, and that of the victims who are both minors, the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office will not release any information that could, either directly or indirectly, identify the minor victims in this investigation.
