Oconee County Sheriff’s Office Arrests Cashiers, NC Man on Trafficking in Methamphetamine Charge

(Walhalla, SC)-------------------------------------A Cashiers, NC man was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center early Wednesday morning after being arrested on two charges, including a charge of Trafficking in Methamphetamine.

 

32 year old Carl David Ferrin, IV, of Natureview Lane, was booked into jail at around 1:22am yesterday.  Ferrin, IV was also charged with one count of Receiving Stolen Goods.

 

On Tuesday afternoon, Investigators from the Criminal Investigations Bureau responded to an address on Blue Ridge Riding Club Road, which is near Ebenezer Road, in reference to reports of a stolen U-Haul trailer at that address.  The Investigators observed the trailer from the road and made contact with Ferrin, IV and another man at the address.

 

Investigators were able to positively identify the U-Haul trailer as stolen through NCIC.  Investigators also located a quantity of Methamphetamine on the property during the course of the investigation that Ferrin, IV took ownership of. 

 

Based upon evidence that was obtained during the investigation, Ferrin, IV was arrested and transported to jail. 

 

According to the arrest warrants, the amount of Methamphetamine seized by Investigators was approximately 48.8 grams. 

 

At this time, Ferrin, IV remains in jail on a combined $110,000 surety bond.

 

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigation.
