Oconee County Sheriff’s Office Arrests Eastanollee, GA Man on Fugitive from Justice Warrant

(Walhalla, SC)-------------------------------------The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office arrested an Eastanollee, GA man yesterday morning on a Fugitive from Justice Warrant after responding to a suspicious person call in the Tokeena Crossroads community.

 

25 year old Jason Aaron Kee, Jr., of Camp Road, was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center at around 7:53am Monday.  A hold has been placed on Kee, Jr. by the Stephens County (GA) Sheriff’s Office.

 

A Deputy from the Uniform Patrol Bureau responded to the area of Tokeena Road near Cross Roads Drive in reference to a report of a white male, wearing black pants, who was standing in the roadway throwing rocks at vehicles.  Before the Deputy arrived, a Narcotics Agent with the Sheriff’s Office was already out with the person, later identified as Kee, Jr. 

 

Kee, Jr. provided the Deputy with a wrong birthdate.  The Deputy was able to confirm the correct birthdate, as well as confirming that Kee, Jr. had a warrant out of the state of Georgia. 

 

Kee, Jr. was placed under arrest.  Kee, Jr. began using profanity while he was escorted to the Deputy’s vehicle. 

 

Kee Jr. was charged by the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office with one count each of Giving False Information and Public Disorderly Conduct.

 

According to the arrest warrant obtained by a Deputy in Oconee County, Kee Jr. is a Fugitive from Justice from the State of Georgia, having committed the offense of Exploitation and Intimidation of Disabled Adults, Elder Persons and Residents. 

 

At this time, Kee Jr. remains in jail pending a bond hearing on the Oconee County charges and pending the extradition process back to the state of Georgia.

 

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigation.
