(Walhalla, SC)-------------------------------------The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office arrested a North Carolina man this week on a charge of Trafficking in Methamphetamine.

47 year old Anthony Michael Tiddick was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center at around 1:35am Thursday.  According to an arrest warrant, Tiddick has a listed address of Cullasaja Drive in Highlands, NC.

A Deputy from the Uniform Patrol Bureau responded late Wednesday evening to Moorhead Place Road, which is near Taylor Creek Road and Mountain Rest, in reference to a report of an unconscious person inside of a vehicle.  Upon arriving on scene, the Deputy observed a blue Nissan Altima that was running in the middle of the roadway with a male inside who was slumped forward with his head resting on the steering wheel.

The Deputy knocked on the window several times until the male, identified as Tiddick, responded.  The Deputy told Tiddick to place the vehicle in park and to step out of the vehicle.  The Deputy was informed that Tiddick’s North Carolina driver’s license was suspended.

Tiddick was placed under arrest and was issued a citation for Driving under Suspension.  A search of Tiddick’s vehicle produced a quantity of Methamphetamine inside of the vehicle.

Approximately 284.8 grams, over one-half pound, of Methamphetamine was seized during the investigation, which led to the Deputy obtaining an arrest warrant against Tiddick for Trafficking in Methamphetamine.

At this time, Tiddick remain in jail.  During an initial appearance before a Judge, Tiddick received a $250,000 surety bond on the drug trafficking charge and $647.50 personal recognizance bond on the Driving under Suspension charge.
