Oconee County Sheriff’s Office Arrests Three after Wednesday Search Warrant Execution

(Walhalla, SC)------------------------------------Three arrestees, two men and one woman, remain in jail today, pending bond hearings, after their arrest Wednesday during the execution of a search warrant in an ongoing drug trafficking investigation.


The search warrant was executed yesterday at 1547 Clearmont Road near Westminster and was conducted by Narcotics Agents along with the S.W.A.T. team. Agents discovered a quantity of Methamphetamine, Marijuana, Prescription Drugs, Fentanyl, money and firearms inside of the residence.


Investigators from the Criminal Investigations Bureau were also notified of items inside of the residence that could be used for fraudulent crimes and an investigation regarding that evidence seized is currently ongoing.


The following suspects were arrested yesterday on the following charges:


· 40 year old Cecil Mark Fowler

Goddard Avenue, Seneca, SC

One count each of Trafficking in Methamphetamine, Trafficking in Morphine, and Possession with Intent to Distribute Fentanyl

Fowler was also served two outstanding General Session Bench Warrants


· 34 year old Shannon Leigh Burnside

Clearmont Road in Westminster

One count each of Trafficking in Methamphetamine, Possession of a Controlled Substance (Suboxone), Possession of a Weapon during Commission of a Violent Crime (sawed-off Winchester .20 gauge shotgun), and Unlawful Possession of a Sawed-Off Shotgun.


· 38 year old Shaun Eric Hornick

Clearmont Road, Westminster, SC

One count each of Unlawful Possession of a Sawed-Off Shotgun (sawed-off Winchester .20 gauge shotgun), Possession of a Weapon during Commission of a Violent Crime, Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana, Possession of a Controlled Substance (Suboxone), and Trafficking in Methamphetamine

Hornick also had two outstanding arrest warrants for Trafficking in Methamphetamine for distributing a quantity of Methamphetamine to an undercover operative, working at the direction of the Sheriff’s Office, in 2022 and 2023.
