(Walhalla, SC)-------------------------------------A Walhalla man remains in jail today, on a $150,000 surety bond, after his arrest overnight Wednesday on a charge of Criminal Sexual Conduct with a Minor – 2nd Degree.

Deputies from the Uniform Patrol Bureau began an investigation Wednesday evening after responding to a separate address on Dardouk Drive in regards to reports of a sexual assault involving a minor.  A Deputy spoke with family members of the victim.

During the course of the investigation, Deputies learned that Lobo came into the residence through the minor’s bedroom window late Tuesday evening after consent was given.  According to information obtained during the investigation, Lobo had sexual intercourse with the minor, who is a child.  Lobo then left the residence and returned to his home.

Deputies made contact with Lobo at his residence.  Based upon evidence obtained during the investigation, Lobo was arrested and booked into jail on Temporary Custody Order until an arrest warrant was obtained by a Violent Crimes Investigator with the Criminal Investigations Bureau.

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigation.  In order to preserve the integrity of the investigation, and that of the minor victim, the Sheriff’s Office will not be releasing any information that could, either directly or indirectly, identify the minor victim.
