Oconee County Sheriff’s Office Arrests Westminster Man during Search Warrant Execution in Clearmont Community

(Walhalla, SC)-------------------------------------A Westminster man remains in jail today, pending a bond hearing, after his arrest on narcotics charges Wednesday morning during the execution of a search warrant.

58 year old Frank Eugene Gardner, Jr., of Dana Drive, was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center at around 10:34am yesterday. 

Gardner, Jr. has been charged with two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Distribute (one for Gabapentin and one for Hydrocodone) and one count of Possession of a Controlled Substance (Psilocybin Mushrooms)

Narcotics Agents and Deputies from the Pro-Active Criminal Enforcement (P.A.C.E.) team executed the search warrant yesterday morning at the Dana Drive address, which is near Clearmont Road.  The search warrant was obtained due to reports and complaints of drug activity.

During the execution of the search warrant, a quantity of Gabapentin, Hydrocodone and Psilocybin Mushroom were seized from a motor home on the property.  A quantity of firearms was also seized from the motor home as well.

Gardner was placed under arrest and transported to the Oconee County Detention Center.  Also arrested on scene was 46 year old Christopher Wade Prichard, of Clearmont Road, on two outstanding Magistrates Bench Warrants. 

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigation.
