(Walhalla, SC)-------------------------------------As the result of an overnight traffic stop by a Deputy assigned to the Uniform Patrol Bureau, the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office arrested two men and charged each of them with Trafficking in Fentanyl.

23 year old Dominick Vincent Falsitta of Walhalla was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center at around 12:22am today.  The other man arrested and jailed is 30 year old David Brice Rhymer, who has listed addresses of Walhalla and Greenville, SC.  Rhymer was booked into the jail at around 2:27am today.

The Deputy, on routine patrol late Monday evening near Salem, observed a driver of a Honda Accord cross the center line of the roadway multiple times.  The driver of the Accord also disregarded a stop sign at the intersection of Cresswood Drive and Flat Shoals Road.

As the Deputy initiated a traffic stop, he observed a small baggie fly out of a window of the Accord and onto the road.  The Deputy made contact with the driver, identified as Rhymer, and the passenger, identified as Falsitta.

The Deputy located the baggie, which contained a quantity of narcotics.  A search of the vehicle produced a quantity of prescription medication inside of the vehicle.

Both Rhymer and Falsitta were placed under arrest and transported to jail, not only on the charges of Trafficking in Fentanyl, but each man was also charged with one count of Possession of a Controlled Substance (Klonopin).  Rhymer was also charged with one count of Reckless Driving.

According to arrest warrants, approximately 7.37 grams of Fentanyl was seized along with approximately 23 pills of Klonopin.

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigations.  Both Falsitta and Rhymer remain in jail, at this time, pending bond hearings for both men.
