(Walhalla, SC)-------------------------------------A Walhalla man, who has been arrested and charged in relation to a homicide investigation in Anderson County, has also been charged by the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office with Grand Larceny.

An arrest warrant was obtained yesterday against 35 year old Justin Dwain Harris after an investigation in which Harris is accused of stealing a white 1990 Chevrolet pick-up from an address on Wolfers Hollow Road, which is near Walhalla.

A Deputy from the Uniform Patrol Bureau was dispatched at around 9:16am Tuesday morning to the Wolfers Hollow Road address and spoke with the victim, who reported that Harris had stolen the pick-up.

Information on the pick-up was entered into the National Crime Information Center database and the pick-up was listed as stolen.

A Property Crimes Investigator from the Criminal Investigation Bureau also listed the vehicle’s information into the FLOCK camera system.  The Investigator was notified that the stolen pick-up was on Highway 24 near the Tokeena Crossroads headed in the direction of Anderson County at around 9:29am yesterday.

The Investigator requested that dispatch notify Anderson County concerning the stolen vehicle based on the direction of travel.  The Investigator was later informed that the stolen vehicle was recovered in Anderson County and was in the possession of Harris.

As Harris’ legal proceedings move forward, Harris will be transported back to Oconee County and will be served with his warrant at a later time.

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigation.
