(Walhalla, SC)————————————–The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating a Friday evening shooting that occurred near Tamassee.
Deputies from the Uniform Patrol Division were dispatched to an address on Horseshoe Lane near Little River Lane, around 7:21pm this evening, in regards to reports of a shooting in which the victim was shot in the head.
The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment of his injuries.
The investigation has been turned over to the Criminal Investigations Bureau. Investigators have identified a person of interest in the shooting.
At this time, there is no danger to the public.
The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigation and at this time, no further information will be released.
