Oconee County Sheriff’s Office Makes Second Arrest in Townville Area Property Crime Investigation
(Walhalla, SC)-----------------------------------The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is announcing today a second arrest in a recent Townville area property crime investigation.
19 year old Annalisse Rebecca Griffin of Seneca was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center at around 5:05pm Wednesday. Griffin has been charged with one count each of Accessory before the Fact of a Felony and Accessory after Fact of a Felony.
On Monday of this week, the Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of 20 year old Keidene Omon Hunter of Westminster on six counts of Financial Transaction Card Fraud and one count each of First Degree Burglary and Grand Larceny in relation to the same investigation.
The Sheriff’s Office also announced Monday that a 16 year old male was detained by Deputies on charges of First Degree Burglary and Grand Larceny also in relation to the same investigation. The minor was transported to the Department of Juvenile Justice Facility in Columbia.
In a news release issued by the Sheriff’s Office this week, Deputies began an investigation on September 2nd after a Deputy assigned to the Uniform Patrol Bureau spoke with the homeowner of a residence on Woolbright Circle, which is near Townville, in reference to a burglary. During the course of the burglary, firearms were stolen along with an Xbox that had a debit card number attached to it.
The investigation was assigned to an Investigator from the Criminal Investigations Bureau. Based upon evidence obtained during the investigation, Investigators obtained a search warrant, which was signed by a Judge, for a residence on Mack Drive near Westminster.
At the execution of the search warrant at the residence on Mack Drive, Hunter was taken into custody and evidence pertaining to the investigation was obtained. Hunter was transported to jail.
After consultations with a Judge, arrest warrants were obtained against Hunter. According to the arrest warrants, Hunter entered the residence on Woolbright Circle during the nighttime hours. Hunter also is accused of stealing the guns and the X-box from the residence. Hunter is also charged with unlawfully charging approximately $389.94 on the victim’s debit card without the victim’s permission.
Investigators also obtained arrest warrants against Griffin. According to Investigators, Griffin provided aid to Hunter and the 16 year old in committing the crime. After the crime was committed, Griffin provided assistance to Hunter and the 16 year old knowing that a felony had been committed.
At this time, both Hunter and Griffin remain in jail. Hunter was given a combined $36,000 surety bond, while Griffin was given a combined $20,000 surety bond. Hunter will be required to wear an electronic monitoring device, as a condition of bond, should he be released from jail.
The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigation.
