Oconee County Sheriff’s Office Seeks the Public’s Help in Fair Play Business Burglary Investigation





(Walhalla, SC)--------------------------------------The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help today in regards to a burglary and larceny investigation at a Fair Play area business which occurred on November 11th.


The Sheriff’s Office is also seeking the public’s help in identifying a person of interest in the investigation.


A deputy from the Uniform Patrol Bureau responded to Sweet Water Wine and Spirits on S. Highway 11 during the early morning hours of November 11th in regards to an alarm call. When the deputy arrived, he observed broken glass outside where it appeared that someone made entry into the business. The deputy also observed some damage inside of the business.


Further investigation revealed that a man filled a bag with bottles of alcohol. The total amount of the bottles of alcohol stolen was approximately $512.89.


The investigation was turned over to the Criminal Investigations Division and an Investigator has continued the process of gathering evidence and following up on leads in the case.
