Oconee County Sheriff’s Office Seeks the Public’s Help in Grand Larceny Investigation



(Walhalla, SC)-------------------------------------The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help today in identifying persons of interest in an ongoing Grand Larceny investigation.

 

Back on the morning of Saturday, April 12th, a Deputy from the Uniform Patrol Bureau responded to an address on Teardrop Lane, which is near Cherokee Drive and Highway 123 near Seneca, in reference to the theft of a trailer which contained lawn and garden equipment. 

 

According to evidence obtained during the investigation, two males arrived on the property late in the afternoon of Friday, April 11th.  The males arrived in a dark blue Jeep Compass.  The males them proceeded to cut the locks on the chains on the trailer, hooked the trailer to their vehicle and drove away. 

 

Further evidence obtained during the investigation reveals that the males appear to be white.  One of the males was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt while the other male has to have gray hair and facial hair.

 

Among the items on the trailer which was stolen were:

 

·         Hooper 6 ½ ft. by 12 ft. trailer

·         Exmart Staris Commercial Mower with a 48 inch deck

·         Toro self-propelled walk behind mower with a  36 inch deck

·         Toro push power with a 21 inch deck

·         Two Webber ladders
