Oconee County Sheriff’s Office Seeks the Public’s Help in Locating Missing Laurens County Man
(Walhalla, SC)-----------------------------------The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help today in locating a missing Laurens County man who was last seen in Oconee County late last Friday night.
A family member of 39 year old Steven Earl Bentley contacted the Sheriff’s Office this afternoon and told Deputies that the last time Steven was seen was around 11pm last Friday night near the Jake’s Marathon location on N. Highway 11 near Salem. According to the family member, Steven walked away from the area of Jake’s. Deputies do not know Steven’s direction of travel.
Steven has a listed address in Cross Hill, SC. Steven is a 5’10” tall and weighs around 180 pounds. Steven has blue eyes and brown hair with a receding hairline. Steven was last seen wearing khaki pants, a gray t-shirt, black tennis shoes and a blue NAPA auto parts hat.
According to the family member, Steven received a ride from Greenville to Oconee County.
The Missing Person’s Unit has been notified and an NCIC form has been filled out in order to list Steven as missing in the National Crimes Information Center database.
