Oconee County Sheriff’s Office Seeks the Public’s Help in Locating Missing Seneca Teenager

UPDATE: The Oconee County Sheriff's Office is happy to report that 16 year old Lydia Anne Clegg has been located and is safe.


(Walhalla, SC)-------------------------------------The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help today in locating a missing Seneca teenage girl.


16 year old Lydia Anne Clegg was reported missing Thursday evening by a family member. According to the family member, Lydia did not come home on the bus from school yesterday afternoon. Lydia’s residence is located on Creekside Drive near Seneca.


Lydia was last seen wearing a red in color beanie, a green t-shirt with a large picture of recording artist Billie Eilish on the shirt, black and white basketball shorts with an “And1” marking on them, and black and white leather Converse high tops which contained a large white Conserve star on each shoe. Lydia was also carrying a black and red backpack with a floral design.


Lydia is 5’6” tall and weighs 180 pounds. Lydia has blue eyes and brown hair.


Lydia’s information was entered into the National Crimes Information Center database. The Missing Person’s Unit from the Criminal Investigations Bureau was notified and has been following up on leads in the search for Lydia.
