Oconee County Sheriff's Office to Host Event Entitled "The Impact of Domestic Abuse on Our Children"

(Walhalla, SC)-------------------------------The Oconee County Sheriff's Office will be hosting an event entitled "The Impact of Domestic Abuse on Our Children" on Thursday, March 9th at Walhalla Middle School.


The doors will open at 6pm. The event will shed light on the indirect victims of domestic abuse and what we can achieve when we reach out for peace.


Among the speakers on March 9th will be Oconee County Sheriff Mike Crenshaw. The keynote speaker, for the event, will be Michael Cogdill, former anchor with WYFF News 4. As a child, Michael experienced domestic abuse and will share his testimony of how it impacted his life.


Resources will also be available to provide education and information regarding domestic abuse. The public is strongly encouraged to attend.
