Adam Robert Cabe
(Walhalla, SC)-----------------------------A Candler, NC man was arrested this morning, by the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office, on a charge of Criminal Sexual Conduct with a Minor – First Degree.
41 year old Adam Robert Cabe, of Denbigh Way, was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center around 9:36am today after turning himself in at the Law Enforcement Center. At this time, Cabe remains in jail pending a bond hearing.
A deputy from the Uniform Patrol Division spoke with a family member of the victim on October 10th of last year in regards to a report of inappropriate touching between Cabe and the victim, who is a child. The incident occurred in August of last year at the High Falls Campground on Lake Keowee.
The investigation was turned over to the Criminal Investigations Bureau. Due to evidence that was gathered during the investigation, it was determined that Cabe did inappropriately touch the child last August 13th.
The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigation, and due to preserving the integrity of the investigation, and that of the victim, the Sheriff’s Office will not release any information that could, either directly or indirectly, identify the victim, who is a minor.
