The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is scheduled for an on-site assessment from January 9, 2024 through January 10, 2024 as part of a program to achieve state accreditation by verifying it meets professional standards.


Administered by the South Carolina Law Enforcement Accreditation, Inc., the accreditation program requires agencies to comply with state-of-the-art standards in four basic areas: policy and procedures, administration, operations, and support services.


Anyone wishing to submit written comments about the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office ability to comply with the standards for accreditation may send them to:
