Townville Man Arrested Tuesday on Criminal Sexual Conduct with a Minor Charge


(Walhalla, SC)------------------------------------The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Townville man yesterday on a charge of Criminal Sexual Conduct with a Minor – First Degree.

 

24 year old Nicolas Gabrale Connally was taken into custody yesterday morning at an address on Bermuda Street in Westminster by Deputies from the Uniform Patrol Bureau.  Connally was transported to the Oconee County Detention Center and booked into jail at around 10:09am Tuesday.

 

At this time, Connally remains in jail after his bond was denied during a bond hearing.  Connally will appear before a Circuit Court Judge, at a later time, regarding his bond. 

 

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office began its investigation on February 1st after an Investigator from the Violent Crimes Unit of the Criminal Investigations Bureau received information from an Investigator with the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office of a reported crime against a child that occurred in Oconee County.

 

Based upon information that was gathered during the investigation, it was determined that Connally committed a sexual battery against a child during a time period between January 1st, 2019 and December 31st, 2021, according to the arrest warrant obtained by the Investigator.  The crime involved only one victim. 

 

Due to the nature of the crime, and in order to preserve the integrity of the investigation, and that of the victim, the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office will not release any information that could in anyway, either directly or indirectly, identify the victim in this case. 

 

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigation.
