(Walhalla, SC)---------------------------------The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is announcing today an additional arrest in the second drug round-up of 2023.
The Sheriff’s Office began the operation with a meeting and briefing at 8:30am on Thursday morning, September 28th at the Law Enforcement Center in Walhalla.
The Sheriff’s Office obtained arrest warrants on 26 subjects. The arrest warrants were obtained based on controlled purchases of narcotics by undercover operatives working at the direction of the Sheriff’s Office. Among the narcotics purchased during the controlled buys were Cocaine, Crack Cocaine, Fentanyl, Heroin, Methamphetamine, and Prescription Medication.
As of 12:00pm today, 18 subjects had been arrested so far and/or were already in jail and will or have been served their warrants. Here is the name of the latest individual arrested:
· Patrick Rashon Richardson
38 years old

Distribution of Fentanyl – One Count
Richardson was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center around 3:54pm on Monday, November 20th. Richardson was also served with two Magistrate Bench Warrants. At this time, Richardson remains in jail. Richardson was given a $50,000 surety bond on the Sheriff’s Office charge. A hold has been placed on Richardson by the South Carolina Department of Probation, Parole and Pardon Services.
