Oconee County Sheriff’s Office Arrests 10 in Execution of Multiple Search Warrants Monday

(Walhalla, SC)-------------------------------------The execution of multiple search warrants Monday by the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office led to the arrests of 10 subjects, with nine of those charged with drug and firearms related offenses.

 

The search warrants were served on four different addresses: Adams Sullivan Road near Walhalla, Johnnie Drive and Bernwood Circle near Seneca and Elhilow Lane near Townville.  During the operation, an additional residence on Spring Branch Road near Walhalla was also searched.

 

The search warrants were obtained due to ongoing drug investigations. 

 

During the operations that were conducted on Monday, trafficking quantities of Fentanyl, Methamphetamine and Cocaine were seized.  Quantities of Marijuana and Prescription Drugs were also seized as well as firearms. 

 

Overall, a total of 56 arrest warrants were obtained by the Sheriff’s Office during the investigation against ten persons, nine who were arrested and one who is still at large.  One additional person was arrested on scene during the execution of the search warrants on charges unrelated to the investigation. 

 

“The search warrants were executed with the assistance from the Department of Homeland Security, the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office and the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division,” according to Captain Ken Washington with the Special Operations Division of the Sheriff’s Office.  “We want to thank our local, state and federal law enforcement partners for their assistance and help this week in making this operation successful.”

 

The following subjects were arrested as part of the execution of the search warrants Monday:


Zachariah William Martin

32 years old

Adams Sullivan Road, Walhalla, SC

One count each of Distribution of Methamphetamine, Distribution of Fentanyl, Trafficking in Methamphetamine and Trafficking in Fentanyl. 

Martin was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center at around 11:21am Monday.  At this time, Martin remains in jail on a combined $310,000 surety bond.  Martin will be required to wear an electronic monitoring device, as a condition of bond, should he be released from jail. 

 

Robert James Friesel, Jr.

44 years old

Circle Drive, Tamasssee, SC

Three counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance, two counts of Possession of a Weapon by a Convicted Felon and one count each of Trafficking in Fentanyl, Trafficking in Methamphetamine and Possession of a Weapon during Commission of a Violent Crime.

Friesel, Jr. was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center at around 11:28am Monday.  At this time, Friesel, Jr. remains in jail.  His current surety bond amount is a combined $80,000.   

 

Lawrence Clovis, III

37 years old

Bransfield Road, Greenville, SC

One count each of Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana. 

Clovis, III was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center at around 12:45pm Monday.  At this time, Clovis III remains in jail on a combined $30,000 surety bond.

 

Darius Marcel Matthews

32 years old

Keowee School Road, Seneca, SC

One count each of Possession of Fentanyl and Possession of a Controlled Substance. 

Matthews was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center at around 12:51pm Monday.  At this time, Matthews remains in jail on a combined $10,000 surety bond. 


Lindsay Rebecca Eades

31 years old

Spring Branch Drive/Adams Sullivan Road, Walhalla, SC

Six counts of Possession of a Weapon during Commission of a Violent Crime, two counts of Distribution of Methamphetamine and one count each of Trafficking in Methamphetamine and Trafficking in Fentanyl.

Eades was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center at around 2:11pm Monday.  At this time, Eades remains in jail on a $170,000 cash bond.  Eades will have to wear an electronic monitoring device, as a condition of bond, should she be released from jail. 

 

Deon Valdiez Thomas

39 years old

Rochester Circle, Walhalla, SC

One count each of Possession of a Weapon during Commission of a Violent Crime, Trafficking in Methamphetamine and Trafficking in Fentanyl and four counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance.

Thomas was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center at around 2:35pm Monday.  At this time, Thomas remains in jail on a combined $140,000 surety bond.

 

Kalena Renee Jenkins

45 years old

Elhilow Lane, Townville, SC

Maple Street, Walhalla, SC

Four counts of Trafficking in Methamphetamine, three counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance and one count each of Possession with Intent to Distribute Fentanyl, Trafficking in Fentanyl and Possession of a Weapon during Commission of a Violent Crime.

Jenkins was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center at around 2:42pm on Monday.  At this time, Jenkins remains in jail on a combined $200,000 surety bond and a $130,000 cash bond.  Jenkins will be required to wear an electronic monitoring device, as a condition of bond, should she be released from jail.

 

Jacklyn Danielle Cobb

26 years old

Johnnie Drive, Seneca, SC

One count each of Trafficking in Cocaine, Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana, Trafficking in Fentanyl and Possession of a Weapon during Commission of a Violent Crime. 

Cobb was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center at around 3:18pm on Monday.  At this time, Cobb remains in jail on a combined $345,000 surety bond. 

 

Robbie Leigh Eades

34 years old

Adams Sullivan Road, Walhalla, SC

One count each of Trafficking in Fentanyl, Trafficking in Methamphetamine, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Fentanyl and two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance.

Eades was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center at around 4:21pm Monday.  At this time, Eades remains in jail on a combined $135,000 surety bond. 

 

Saul Ivan Lopez Sanchez

36 years old

Santee Drive, Walhalla, SC

Sanchez was arrested at the scene of the execution of the search warrant at Elhilow Drive near Townville Monday and was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center at around 2:00pm the same day. 

Sanchez had one outstanding arrest warrant on a charge of Shoplifting as well as a Magistrate Bench Warrant. 

At this time, Sanchez remains in jail.  Sanchez was given a $2,125.00 surety bond on the Shoplifting charge.

 

As part of the ongoing drug investigations, Agents from the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division obtained an arrest warrant against 38 year old Marcus Derrel Whitner, of S. Hampton Street in Westminster, on a charge of Trafficking in Methamphetamine.  The arrest warrant was served on Whitner at the Oconee County Detention Center, where Whitner has remained in custody since his arrest back on August 1st of this year by the Walhalla Police Department. 

 

Also, the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help today in locating two wanted persons on charges also related to the ongoing drug investigations:

Johnnie Drive, Seneca, SC

Clearmont Road, Westminster, SC

One count of Trafficking in Methamphetamine – Warrant obtained by Agents from the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division

One Count of Unlawful Neglect of a Child – Warrant obtained by an Investigator from the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office
