(Walhalla, SC)-------------------------------------A Belton woman remains in jail today, pending a bond hearing, after her arrest on two counts of Breach of Trust with Fraudulent Intent.
30 year old Pamela Brooke Schronce, of Newry Road, was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center at around 11:22am today. Schronce was transported from the Greenville County Detention Center to Oconee County by Deputies assigned to the Warrants Unit.
The charges filed against Schronce involve two separate victims. Back on January 9th of this year, the Sheriff’s Office issued a news release in regards to Investigators with the Fraud Unit of the Criminal Investigations Bureau conducting an investigation into an Upstate business, identified as Thomas and Turner Boutique, in relation to allegations made of Obtaining Goods under False Pretense.
In that January 9th news release, Investigators with the Fraud Unit also requested to be contacted by anyone in Oconee County who made orders to the same business and had yet to receive their orders or any refunds or store credits and who would like to file a report with the Sheriff’s Office.
One of the investigations that led to charges being filed against Schronce was included in that release from earlier this year and was based upon a report that was filed with the Sheriff’s Office on January 5th, 2026. On that date, a Deputy from the Uniform Patrol Bureau took a report from a citizen in reference to seven online orders that were made to Thomas and Turner Boutique between October of 2024 and March of 2025.
The citizen reported to the deputy that she e-mailed the store’s owner multiple times about the items that she ordered and did not receive. The citizen was promised refunds, however, no money was refunded and the citizen never received the items that she ordered. The seven online orders made by the citizen totaled approximately $487.07.
On March 16th of this year, a Fraud Investigator took a report from a second victim who stated that she pre-ordered matching children’s outfits from Thomas and Turner Boutique in December of 2024. The victim told the Investigator that she never received her order and requested a cancellation of a portion of it. The victim was refunded a portion of the order on a gift card in July of 2025 in the amount of $73.02.
The victim then used the gift card to order new items which were supposed to arrive in January of this year. The victim never received her order and the victim cannot use the remaining balance on the gift card due to the fact that the business is now closed.
The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigation.
