(Walhalla, SC)-------------------------------------A Central, SC man remains in jail today, after his arrest over the weekend on a Trafficking in Fentanyl charge as a result of a traffic stop in Seneca.

The Deputy received information from dispatch that Johnson’s driving privileges had been suspended.  The Deputy received consent to search the vehicle from Johnson.  There were two passengers in the vehicle, one adult male and one adult female.

During a search of the vehicle, a quantity of narcotics was located.  Based on evidence obtained during the investigation, Johnson was placed under arrest and transported to jail.

Further investigation also revealed that the male passenger, 37 year old Jesse Ray Reams of Seneca, had an active warrant through the Pendleton Police Department.  Reams was transported to Pendleton by another Deputy assigned to the Uniform Patrol Bureau.  The female passenger was released from the scene.

As a result of the traffic stop, and according to arrest warrants, approximately 1.08 grams of Methamphetamine and approximately 4.1 grams of Fentanyl were seized.
