Oconee County Sheriff’s Office Arrests Clemson Man on Drug Trafficking Charge

(Walhalla, SC)--------------------------------------The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Clemson man yesterday on two outstanding arrest warrants, which included a charge of Trafficking in Methamphetamine.


40 year old Tarrell Lashawn Lee Williams of Old Clemson Highway was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center around 12:26pm. Williams was transferred from the Jackson County (NC) Detention Center to Oconee County yesterday by a deputy from the Warrants Division.


According to the arrest warrants, undercover operatives, working at the direction of Narcotics Agents from the Sheriff’s Office, made two separate controlled buys from Williams in Oconee County in 2021. One of the controlled buys involved a purchase of Heroin while another of the controlled buys involved the purchase of a trafficking weight of Methamphetamine.


At this time, Williams remains in custody at the Oconee County Detention Center on a combined $80,000 surety bond.
