Oconee County Sheriff’s Office Arrests Seneca Man on Multiple Drug Trafficking Charges

(Walhalla, SC)--------------------------------------An ongoing operation by Narcotics Agents from the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office led to the execution of a search warrant Thursday on the Utica Mill Hill and the arrest of a Seneca man on multiple drug trafficking charges.


39 year old William Zeth Brown of Goddard Avenue was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center around 4pm yesterday. At this time, Brown remains in custody pending a bond hearing.


In all, Brown has been charged with four counts of Trafficking in Methamphetamine, five counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance, two counts of Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana, two counts of Possession of a Weapon during Commission of a Violent Crime and one count each of Trafficking in Crack Cocaine and Possession of Crack Cocaine.


The operation began earlier this year due to the distribution and possession of quantities of Methamphetamine, Crack Cocaine, Marijuana and prescription medication (Hydrocodone, Oxycodone and Suboxone) by Brown. Based upon evidence gained during the ongoing investigation, Narcotics Agents obtained a search warrant for a residence at 503 Goddard Avenue.


During the execution of the search warrant yesterday, according to Narcotics Agents, approximately 540 grams of Methamphetamine, 72.1 grams of Crack Cocaine, 515 grams of Marijuana, two firearms and a quantity of Oxycodone, Hydrocodone and Suboxone were seized.


In all, since the operation began earlier this year, and including the totals seized during the search warrant, Narcotics Agents seized over 850 grams of Marijuana, over 73 grams of Crack Cocaine, over 879 grams of Methamphetamine, three firearms and a quantity of Hydrocodone, Oxycodone and Suboxone.


The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigation.
