Oconee County Sheriff’s Office Arrests Wanted Subject Yesterday near Seneca

(Walhalla, SC)----------------------------------------Acting on a tip yesterday morning, a deputy and investigators from the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office located a Central, SC man, who had outstanding arrest warrants, and placed him into custody.


37 year old Jerrico Roshean Fruster of Revista Drive was transported from an address on Seneca River Road and booked into the Oconee County Detention Center around 12:18pm Thursday. At this time, Fruster remains in custody at the Oconee County Detention Center on a combined $80,000 surety bond.


Fruster had 12 outstanding arrest warrants related to three separate incidents. Fruster was charged with one count of Second Degree Burglary, three counts of Malicious Injury to Real Property, one count of Assault and Battery – 3rd Degree, two counts of First Degree Burglary, two counts of Pointing and Presenting a Firearm, one count of Unlawful Communication, one count of Arson – 3rd Degree and one count of Unlawful Use of 911.


The Sheriff’s Office issued a press release on February 3rd of this year seeking the public’s help in locating Fruster. According to the press release, one of the incidents occurred on January 29th and two of the incidents occurred on January 30th at an address near Seneca. During the incident on January 29th, Fruster is accused in arrest warrants of breaking into a building on Cedar Valley Road, while damaging a door, and assaulting the victim.


During one of the incidents on January 30th, Fruster is accused of entering a dwelling at night, armed with a handgun, which he presented to the victim, and damaging the windows of the residence.


Fruster is also accused of entering the residence again on January 30th at night, while armed with a handgun, and presented the gun to the victim. Fruster also made a phone call to the victim using inappropriate language.


During one of the incidents, Fruster also damaged the victim’s vehicle, a green 2002 Ford Taurus, and also set fire to the same vehicle.


Fruster is also accused of unlawfully using the 911 system by not reporting an emergency and using inappropriate language.
