(Walhalla, SC)--------------------------------------The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office will join over 17,000 communities from all 50 states, U.S. territories, Canadian cities and military bases around the world in the “38th Annual National Night Out” crime and drug prevention event on Tuesday, August 3rd.

The event in Oconee County will take place at The Farm Center, which is the location of the Foothills Heritage Fair, from 5:30pm until 7:30pm. The Farm Center is located at 2063 Sandifer Boulevard. Everyone in Oconee County is invited to attend this community event.

“National Night Out will provide Oconee County law enforcement the chance to continue to build relationships with those in our community in a county wide event,” says Oconee County Sheriff Mike Crenshaw. “We have reached out to our partners with Oconee County Emergency Services and the other law enforcement agencies that operate and have jurisdiction in Oconee County to also join us at this event.”

Vendors and organizations will have tables and tents set up in order to share with the community their mission and the services that they are offering. The Sheriff’s Office also is hoping to have food vendors and a bouncy house there Tuesday night for children who will be attending.
