OCSO Announces Closure at Oconee County Animal Shelter for Training Purposes


(Walhalla, SC)--------------------------------------Due to what is known as Deflection Style Training, the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is announcing today that the Oconee County Animal Shelter will be closed for several hours this Friday, May 28th.


The Shelter will be closed from 9am until 1pm to allow Animal Control Officers to participate in this training. The training is being provided by No Kill South Carolina.


According to Lt. Tommy Crompton from the Special Operations Division of the Sheriff’s Office, the training will consist of procedures and best practices to benefit the citizens of Oconee County in regards to the duties of Animal Control officers.
