OCSO Arrests Seneca Man on Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor Charges

(Walhalla, SC)--------------------------------------The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Seneca man Monday morning on 16 counts of Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor charges.


30 year old Lareeces Lorenzo Moon was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center around 8:14am yesterday after turning himself in at the Law Enforcement Center in Walhalla.


An investigator from the Criminal Investigations Bureau was contacted by an Investigator from the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office in regards to an indecent exposure investigation, began by their agency, in the Easley area. Evidence was discovered of inappropriate conversations between Moon and a child who is now a teenager. Evidence was also uncovered of inappropriate photos that the victim shared with Moon as well.


As the investigation continued, it was determined that the photos were shared while the victim was inside the jurisdiction of Oconee County. Therefore, all evidence was transferred to investigators with the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office.


Based on evidence that was gathered during the investigation, it was determined that Moon had asked for, and received, photos of the victim in sexually suggestive poses. The investigation only involved one victim. According to arrest warrants, the incidents occurred between December 25th, 2021 and March 14th, 2022.


Moon was given a combined $16,000 surety bond. Moon will have to wear an electronic monitoring device, as a condition of his bond, upon his release from jail.


The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigation, and due to preserving the integrity of the investigation, and that of the victim, the Sheriff’s Office will not provide any information that could in any way identify the victim.
