(Walhalla, SC)--------------------------------------A Westminster man, who is a registered sex offender, was arrested late last week on a charge of Communicating Obscene Messages to an underage teenager.

54 year old Danny Wayne Long was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center around 10:32 pm last Friday, February 25th. Long was released from the Oconee County Detention Center, the next day, on a $25,000 personal recognizance bond.

The Sheriff’s Office began an investigation on January 19th of this year after a report was filed in regards to a harassment complaint. The investigation was turned over to the Criminal Investigations Division.
