This year, National Faith and Blue Weekend is scheduled from Friday, October 9th thru Sunday, October 11th.

“Since 2020, The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office has been honored to be a part of the Faith and Blue Initiative,” says Oconee County Sheriff Mike Crenshaw.  “We are advocates of “Community Policing” and the Faith and Blue initiative is a great example of what “Community Policing” is all about.  Every year, our goal has been to bring together law enforcement officers and our faith community in order to continue to “Forge Relationships to Build a Safer Oconee.”

As in previous years, Sheriff Crenshaw encourages all churches and houses of worship during National Faith and Blue Weekend to recognize law enforcement and public safety officers in attendance during their worship services that weekend, as well as setting aside a time during those worship services to pray for all public safety officers and our County, Cities and Communities.

Also, Sheriff Crenshaw encourages the churches and houses of worship during that weekend to allow any public safety officers who would like to speak to their respective congregations during those services to do so.

Please address any questions concerning the Cops and Clergy Prayer Breakfast, or National Faith and Blue Weekend, to outreach@oconeelaw.com.
