Missing Person’s Unit Reports Missing Teenager and Infant Found Safe in Indiana

(Walhalla, SC)-------------------------------------The Missing Person’s Unit of the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is happy to report that a missing teenager and her infant child have been located safe in the state of Indiana.

 

15 year old Jazmynn Rosa Morales Sakkinen and her five-month old child, Elina Elizabeth Morales Sakkinen, were last seen 39 days ago, on Friday evening, March 20th, at their residence on Yellow Bell Road near Walhalla.  Jazmynn and Elina were reported missing to the Sheriff’s Office the next morning by a family member. 

 

The Sheriff’s Office issued a news release and a picture of Jazmynn and Elina that day, as well as posting information on social media in order to seek the public’s help in finding them. 

 

The Missing Person’s Unit, working in cooperation with the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division and the Indiana State Police, followed up on evidence which led locating Jazmynn and Elina in Kokomo, Indiana, which is a city north of Indianapolis. 

 

According to the Missing Person’s Unit, family members are currently on their way to Kokomo, Indiana to pick up Jazmynn and Elina. 

 

The Missing Person’s Unit of the Sheriff’s Office would like to thank our law enforcement partners with the Indiana State Police, the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division, our media partners and the public for their help and assistance in safely locating Jazmynn and Elina.
