Deputies from the Uniform Patrol Bureau responded to an address on Khaki Campbell Way, near Seneca, on Saturday afternoon in relation to a possible physical disturbance.  After knocking on the door of an apartment, a Deputy spoke to the victim, an adult female.  Deputies then observed a white male, later identified as Sutton, run out a side door.

Deputies ran after Sutton, caught up to him and took him into custody.  A search of Sutton’s person produced a cell phone, car keys and a book bag.  A Deputy also discovered a physical manifestation of injuries on the victim during the course the investigation.

As the investigation continued, Deputies learned that the victim and Sutton had argued during the day on Saturday.  Later on in the day, Sutton reportedly assaulted the victim physically.  The victim was transported to the hospital by paramedics for further treatment and evaluation.  Sutton was placed under arrest and transported to jail.

Based upon an arrest warrant obtained by Deputies, Sutton is accused of hitting, slapping, choking, slamming, biting and impeding the airway of the victim.  Sutton is also accused of holding the victim down, refusing to let the victim leave and taking the victim’s cell phone and keys before fleeing, according to an arrest warrant.
