(Walhalla, SC)-------------------------------------A Seneca man remains in jail today, pending a bond hearing, after his arrest Wednesday evening on burglary, weapon and narcotic charges as the result of an investigation into a disturbance call for service on the Utica Mill Hill.

18 year old Anthony Daniel Harris, of Lonsdale Street, was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center at around 11:15pm yesterday.  Arrest warrants were obtained against Harris on charges of First Degree Burglary, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of a Weapon during Commission of a Violent Crime and two counts of Pointing and Presenting a Firearm at a Person.

Deputies from the Uniform Patrol Bureau responded to an address on Goddard Avenue Wednesday evening in reference to a reported disturbance after dispatch received a 911 call in which a female could be heard yelling at a male.  The female told dispatch that the male had a firearm and was pointing it.

When Deputies arrived, they made contact with the female, who identified Harris as the person who pointed the firearm.  Harris, who was also on the scene, ran away down Goddard Avenue.  A Deputy ran after Harris but lost sight of him.  The Deputy requested additional units to respond to the scene.

As the investigation continued, Deputies learned that Harris had entered the residence and pointed a firearm at two women who were inside of a room.  After Harris was locked out of the room, Deputies were told that Harris walked outside to a window of the residence and pointed the firearm at one of the woman again.

As the investigation continued, Harris returned to the scene and was placed under arrest.  A quantity of Methamphetamine was discovered on his person.  Harris was transported to the Oconee County Detention Center.

During the investigation, an officer from the Seneca Police Department assisted Deputies on scene in a mutual aid capacity.  The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank the Seneca Police Department for their help in the investigation.
