Oconee County Sheriff’s Office Arrests Westminster Man for Bomb Threats at Oconee Courthouse

(Walhalla, SC)--------------------------------------Investigators from the Criminal Investigations Bureau, working in partnership with agents from the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division Fugitive Task Force Unit, arrested a Westminster man today on three outstanding warrants on charges of False Information about a Bomb Threat.


43 year old Jeffrey Adam Holbert of Act Valley Trail was taken into custody around 2:52pm this afternoon at the Act Valley Trail address. Holbert was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center around 5:32pm today.


Holbert was also served an outstanding arrest warrant on a charge of Shoplifting from an incident that occurred at the Seneca Walmart back on August 1st.


Once on June 8th and twice on July 29th of this year, Holbert made calls to the E-911 Communications Center regarding threats made to the Courthouse in Walhalla. In each incident, no suspicious devices were discovered and no injuries were reported.


The cases were assigned to the Criminal Investigations Division and after evidence was gathered, Investigators obtained the arrest warrants against Holbert.


The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigation. At this time, Holbert remains in custody at the jail pending a bond hearing.
