Oconee County Sheriff’s Office Seeks the Public’s Help in Locating Missing 13 Year Old Girl

(UPDATE: The Oconee County Sheriff's Office is happy to report that 13 year old Jemila McLoughlin has been located and is safe.)


(Walhalla, SC)-------------------------------------The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help tonight in locating a missing 13 year old girl.


Jemila McLoughlin was reported missing to the Sheriff’s Office around 4:16pm this afternoon. Jemila was last seen this afternoon on Wilderness Road in Fair Play, near where she is currently residing.


A Deputy from the Uniform Patrol Bureau responded to the area and began patrolling the area in the search for Jemila. Reverse 911 was activated by the E-911/Communications Center in order to notify any nearby residents that Jemila was missing and Jemila’s information has entered into the National Crimes Information Center database.


The Investigation has been turned over to the Missing Person’s Unit of the Criminal Investigations Bureau.


Jemila is 5’2” tall, weighs 105 pounds and has brown eyes and black hair. Jemila was last seen wearing a blue/gray shirt, blue jeans and flip flops. Jemila also had her hair in pigtail buns.


If you have any information on the whereabouts of 13 year old Jemila McLoughlin, or if you see her, you are asked to call 911 immediately.
