Oconee County Sheriff’s Office Seeks the Public’s Help in Locating Missing Tamassee Man

(Walhalla, SC)--------------------------------------The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help today in locating a Tamassee man, who was reported missing to the Sheriff’s Office on Veteran’s Day.


A deputy from the Uniform Patrol Division spoke with a family member the evening of November 11th in regards to 24 year old Austin Wade Campbell, whom the family member had not had any contact with since the morning of Wednesday, November 10th.


According to the family member, Austin left the family residence on Catfish Pond Road on foot around 10am last Wednesday, but did not return. The deputy searched several areas in Tamassee but was not able to locate Austin.


Austin’s information has been entered into the National Crimes Information Center database. Austin is around 6’0” tall, weighs 220 pounds and has brown eyes. Austin has two tattoos on his face, a tear drop below his eye and a cross between his eyes. The family member told deputies that Austin had recently shaved his head bald.


The family member did not have a closing description for Austin at the time he left the residence. Austin also does not have a vehicle and does not have a cell phone, according to the family member.
