Oconee County Sheriff’s Office Seeks the Public’s Help in Theft Investigation at Ulta Beauty



(Walhalla, SC)-------------------------------------The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help today in an investigation into a theft, via a shoplifting, of almost $3,000.00 dollars in merchandise from the Ulta Beauty location in Hartwell Village.


The Sheriff’s Office is also seeking the public’s help in identifying two persons of interest in the investigation.


A Deputy from the Uniform Patrol Bureau responded to the incident location on Wednesday, August 29th to begin an investigation. The Deputy was informed, by an employee, that a man and a woman came into the store during the afternoon of Tuesday, August 28th and stole approximately $2,964.00 of merchandise. The man and woman left the store about 10 minutes after they first arrived.


The man was wearing a black long sleeved button down shirt and blue jeans. The woman was wearing a white short sleeved shirt and black shorts. The woman was also carrying a black tote bag.


The case has been turned over the Criminal Investigations Bureau. Based upon an inventory, conducted by Ulta Beauty of the items that were taken, the stolen items appear to be mostly cosmetics.


This shoplifting investigation is separate from the one that the Sheriff’s Office issued a news release which occurred back on June 22nd.
