Public’s Help Sought in Locating Subject Wanted on Sex Offender Registry Violation Warrant

Julian Columbus Galloway, Jr.

(Walhalla, SC)-------------------------------------The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help today in locating a Seneca man who has an outstanding arrest warrant on a Sex Offender Registry Violation charge.

 

On January 24th of this year, the Sex Offender Registrar from the Sheriff’s Office went to an address on Durham Brown Road near Seneca in order to make contact with 68 year old Julian Columbus Galloway, Jr. after he could not be reached by phone on multiple occasions.  The Durham Brown Road address was provided by Galloway, Jr. as his primary address during his previous registry visits. 

 

When the Registrar arrived on scene, he was informed that Galloway, Jr. did not live at that address.  After further attempts to contact Galloway, Jr. by phone and in person proved unsuccessful, an arrest warrant was obtained against Galloway, Jr. on January 29th. 

 

Galloway, Jr. spoke with the Registrar on February 2nd.  Galloway, Jr. was instructed to turn himself in; however, he has yet to do so at this time. 

 

The Criminal Investigations Bureau believes that Galloway, Jr. may be in the Six Mile area of Pickens County.
