(Walhalla, SC)-------------------------------------The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office has filed an additional charge against a Mountain Rest man, who was wanted by the Sheriff’s Office on multiple charges, and against two others in relation to an ongoing investigation and his capture Monday evening.
Back on October 23rd, the Sheriff’s Office issued a release seeking the public’s help in locating
36 year old Zackary Edwin Sterling Fiskeaux, of Blueberry Hill Road. Fiskeaux was wanted on charges of Domestic Violence of a High and Aggravated Nature, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon and Grand Larceny in relation to an incident that occurred on September 27th of this year.
According to the arrest warrants, Fiskeaux was charged with assaulting an adult female by choking her and striking her on the head, arms, legs and back. During the assault, Fiskeaux possessed and discharged a firearm. Fiskeaux also stole the victim’s 2005 Chevrolet Tahoe.
Fiskeaux was also wanted on a charge of Assault and Battery – 2nd Degree in a separate incident that occurred on October 21st on E. Main Street in the city limits of Westminster. In that incident, Fiskeaux was charged with cutting an adult male on his chest with an unknown object which caused a laceration to the victim’s chest.
Monday evening, Investigators from the Criminal Investigations Bureau and Deputies from the Uniform Patrol Bureau responded to an address on Robinhood Drive, near Walhalla, in regards to reports that Fiskeaux possibly being at that address. After arriving on scene, Deputies spoke with two adult females, with one of those identified as 49 year old Selena Sue Crowe. A juvenile was also located at the residence.
Deputies received consent from Crowe, who resides at that address, to search a building and the residence. The Deputy observed narcotics inside a room of the residence but Fiskeaux was not located inside.
Deputies discovered that Fiskeaux had run through the backyard of the residence and into some woods. After Fiskeaux was not located, a perimeter was set up and a K-9 handler deployed K-9 Officer Grizzly to continue the search. As the search continued, Fiskeaux was located nearby in the woods. After refusing officer commands to surrender and be placed into custody, Fiskeaux tried to jump a fence that was behind him. Fiskeaux was taken into custody with the assistance of K-9 Officer Grizzly and other Deputies who responded.
Paramedics responded and transported Fiskeaux to the hospital for treatment and evaluation of a reported head injury. Fiskeaux was released from the hospital and transported to the Oconee County Detention Center, where he was booked into jail at around 11:17pm on Monday, November 25th. Fiskeaux was charged today with one count of Resisting Arrest in relation to his apprehension Monday night.
The juvenile who was located at the residence was turned over to a family member and the Department of Social Services was also notified. A Narcotics Agent at the Sheriff’s Office was also notified due to narcotics being discovered inside of the residence. A search warrant was obtained for the residence by the Narcotics Agent, who responded to the scene. Based upon evidence that was gathered, Crowe was placed under arrest.
Crowe was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center at around 1:31am Tuesday on a charge of Trafficking in Methamphetamine. At this time, Crowe remains in jail as her bond was denied. Crowe will appear before a Circuit Court Judge, at a later time, in regards to her bond.
At this time, Fiskeaux remains in jail. Fiskeaux’s bond was denied on the charges obtained by the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office. Fiskeaux was also booked into jail Monday evening on a General Sessions Bench Warrant and three General Session Bench Warrants. Fiskeaux was also served an arrest warrant on a Probation Violation by the South Carolina Department of Probation, Parole and Pardon Service.
Also in regards to the ongoing investigation, Kari Leianne Fiskeaux was booked into the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office at around 10:25am Tuesday on a charge of Obstructing Justice. According to Investigators, Kari Fiskeaux allowed Zackary Fiskeaux to drive her vehicle to avoid apprehension. Kari Fiskeaux was released from jail yesterday on a $5,000 personal recognizance bond.
